Australian Vanadium Ltd (ASX:AVL) continues to strengthen its leadership team with the appointment of Anna Sudlow as a non-executive director, effective June 1.
Sudlow brings a wealth of experience in corporate finance, specifically within the mining and resources sectors across various commodities and jurisdictions.
Senior roles in energy
With a Bachelor of Commerce, Sudlow is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Her strong track record includes senior roles at Woodside Energy and Paladin Energy, where she excelled in strategy, capital management and funding, commercial analysis, business development, risk and financial reporting and governance.
As AVL gears up for the next phase of its Australian Vanadium Project, the addition of Sudlow to the board will bolster the company's ambitions to assemble a crack team equipped with the necessary skills and expertise.

Pivotal time for industry
Currently serving as the chief financial officer of Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX:PDN), an Australian-listed uranium company, Sudlow joins AVL at a pivotal time during the global energy transition. Recognising AVL's contribution to the energy transition through the provision of critical minerals and energy storage solutions, Sudlow expressed her enthusiasm for her new appointment:
