First Phosphate CEO outlines strategy as company looks to lead in lithium iron phosphate batteries

First Phosphate Corp. (CSE:PHOS) CEO John Passalacqua joined Steve Darling from Proactive to provide some insights on his release of a corporate update with the big moves the company has made so far and what lies ahead.

Passalacqua told Proactive the company has made big strides this year including listing on the CSE and signing an agreement with Prayon, a Belgian-based global leader in purified phosphoric acid production and technology, and Integrals Power Limited of the United Kingdom. The company also achieved a world-leading high-purity phosphate concentrate of 40.2% at a 91.4% recovery rate through metallurgical testwork.

Passalacqua also told Proactive the company will stay busy for the remainder of this year with the completion of a preliminary economic assessment (PEA) at its Lac-à-l'Orignal property, which will lead into a feasibility study in 2024. The company will also release final results from the 2022 winter drill program at Bégin-Lamarche and then begin a summer drill program to aid in a 43-101 document in 2024.
