Braveheart Investment Group PLC (AIM:BRH) has announced that its portfolio company Phasefocus Holdings Limited will release two new medical imaging and analysis applications by the end of the year.
Phasefocus, a 44%-owned quantitative imaging company, will release the new products for “cell biologists testing drug performance in immuno-oncology and neurosciense applications”, Braveheart said in a statement.
Phasefocus’s Livecyte system allows scientists to continuously track thousands of cells which are kept healthy over long periods.
This facilitates “a more thorough exploration of dynamic cellular processes and the efficacy of drugs on them”, Braveheart explained.
Phasefocus has recently appointed Nexus Scientific to represent its Livecyte imaging and analysis systems through conferences, workshops and seminars in North America.
AIM-listed Braveheart also said Peter Djali had been appointed as Phasefocus's European business development head to build the company’s sales network on the continent.
Braveheart CEO Trevor Brown told investors: "Phasefocus has gained momentum in a number of areas recently which your board is hopeful will lead to increased sales over the coming months."
