One Media iP Group PLC (AIM:OMIP)’s subsidiary, Software Platform TCAT, has added a new product to its Software as a Service (Saas) portfolio that can detect copyright infringement, including on Artificial Intelligence (AI) music.
The software from TCAT Insight can help music copyright owners detect infringement, including by AI-generated music, by identifying pirated songs using metadata matched to an artist’s name and track title along with other keywords.
One Media iP also said it can identify covers using a confidence analysis process that incorporates metadata matching and AI to analyse lyrics.
TCAT Insight, according to a statement from the digital media content provider, is the “latest addition to the proprietary suite of TCAT software products”.
“Driven by machine learning, it enables clients to review the potential infringement and respond accordingly,” said Gareth Waller, chief technology officer of TCAT.
“We have had strong interest in the new software capability from both new and existing clients, including small to medium-sized record labels who are having to work harder than ever to protect their copyrights from piracy.”
