Kainantu Resources Ltd (TSX-V:KRL) CEO Matthew Salthouse told shareholders that the Asia-Pacific-focused resource company spend a busy first quarter putting the pieces in place to develop its portfolio of projects.

The Canadian firm’s focus during 1Q was on priority projects at Kili Teke and Ontenu/KRL South, it said in a statement.

First Phosphate Corp. (CSE:PHOS) told investors it aims to complete the preliminary economic assessment (PEA) for Lac-à-l’Orignal in Quebec in 2023 so it can advance the flagship property to a feasibility study in 2024.

In a corporate update, the company said other milestones ahead for 2023 include the release of final results from the winter 2022 drill program at its Bégin-Lamarche property, followed by a summer drill program to reach National Instrument 43-101 readiness in 2024.

Kainantu Resources Ltd (TSX-V:KRL) told investors it has received subscriptions and/or commitments for C$1.4 million for its offering of a non-brokered private placement of senior convertible debentures.

While the gold mining company said this is sufficient for its current initiatives, it noted that the offering enables it to accept subscriptions for total proceeds of up to C$1.8 million.

Hillcrest Energy Technologies Ltd (CSE:HEAT, OTCQB:HLRTF) said it has successfully completed dynamic load bench tests involving its cutting-edge 250-kilowatt, 800-volt SiC inverter with a prominent European automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM).

In an update to shareholders, the clean technology company said testing evaluated the impacts of Hillcrest's revolutionary Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) technology on a high-power dynamic load using a high-efficiency motor of the European OEM, confirming the integration of Hillcrest's technology with their motor.

Power Nickel Inc (TSX-V:PNPN) has announced the latest results from three drill holes, expanding the central high-grade zone at Nisk.

The Canadian junior exploration company said drill holes PN-23-025, 027 and 028 successfully expanded the high-grade intersection in drill hole PN-22-009. The main highlights were 1.01% Ni, 0.27% Cu, 0.07% Co, 0.88 grams per ton (g/t) palladium, 0.13 g/t platinum and 0.03 g/t gold over 14.4 metres (m) in hole PN-23-028, including 1.69% Ni, 0.37% Cu, 0.12% Co, 1.59 g/t palladium, 0.22 g/t platinum and 0.04 g/t gold over 7.8m.

Thor Exploration has maintained its production guidance for the current year at between 85-90,000oz gold weighted toward the second half despite what it says was a challenging first quarter

Sustaining costs will also be in the guidance range of between US$1,150 to US$1,350 per oz, it added, even though grades in the first three months dipped and there were difficult mining conditions in the Segilola Pit west wall.

Arrow Exploration Corp (TSX-V:AXL, AIM:AXL, OTC:CSTPF) has seen what it calls “an extremely important” result from the Carrizales Norte-1 (CN-1) well which in its first phase of production testing measured a peak rate of 1,222 barrels of oil per day (bopd).

The company, in a statement, gave details of the production test of the Ubaque formation which is one of three formations encountered in the CN-1 well that were selected for testing.

SWMBRD Sports has announced the engagement of Liam Greenlaw as a consultant for a 12-month term. Greenlaw, a renowned creative director, will receive 400,000 RSUs and a cash fee of $10,000 per month after the initial two months, subject to agreement with the company. Additionally, the company has enlisted Ketchum, Killum & Wynn Creative Inc. to provide website design, development, and support services, in exchange for 100,000 RSUs. In total, 500,000 RSUs have been awarded to Greenlaw and KKW Creative, with immediate vesting and a hold period of four months and one day.

Tocvan Ventures has announced that the 5 million common shares it received from the sale of the Rogers Creek Property to Cascade Copper Corp. will be distributed to Tocvan shareholders as an in specie dividend in the form of Cascade common shares. The dividend will be issued in June to all registered Tocvan shareholders holding 7.9852 Tocvan shares for each Cascade common share they receive. Fractional shares will be rounded down to the nearest whole share. The dividend is expected to be issued in June.

Rakovina Therapeutics Inc has successfully closed its non-brokered private placement, raising approximately $1.5 million in gross proceeds. The placement involved the issuance of unsecured convertible debenture units, with each unit comprising a convertible debenture and common share purchase warrants. The debentures mature in 30 months, accrue interest at a rate of 12% per annum, and can be converted into common shares at a price of $0.20 per share. The funds raised will be used for research and development expenses, particularly for advancing the kt-3000 dual function DNA-damage response inhibitor program, and for general working capital purposes.

Gratomic Inc has successfully completed the final tranche of its non-brokered private placement offering, raising $454,500 with the placement of 1,515,000 working capital units. The total funds raised through the offering amounted to $4,602,689.40. Each working capital unit consists of one common share and one common share purchase warrant. The proceeds from the offering will be utilized for general working capital purposes and to support the operations of the Aukam project.
