Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) supplier Foxconn has attempted to entice workers to the world’s largest iPhone factory by ramping up bonuses ahead of the latest model’s release date in September.
Foxconn employees will be granted 3,000 yuan (£343) for working at the Zhengzhou factory in China for at least 90 days, with awards also being offered for referring new recruits.
Apple’s iPhone 15 is anticipated to be launched in September, with the Pro Max model costing up to US$1,199, according to Haitong International analyst Jeff Pu.
Shipments of Apple’s iPhone 14 were delayed late last year after the 200,000-strong worker facility was hit by tough local Covid-19 lockdown rules.
