Lululemon Athletica (NASDAQ:LULU) is expected to report earnings at the top end of expectations when it releases its first-quarter results after the closing bell on Thursday, June 1.
According to the consensus earnings estimate, the Vancouver-based athletic apparel retailer will deliver revenue of $1.92 billion, up 19% from 1Q 2022, and earnings per share (EPS) of $1.97, with Earnings Whisper forecasting EPS of $2.01.
The company comfortably beat expectations with its 4Q 2022 results, reporting revenue of $2.77 billion, up from $2.13 billion a year earlier and ahead of Street expectations of $2.7 billion. Earnings were $4.40 per share, compared to $3.37 a year earlier and analyst projections of $4.26.
In its 4Q results statement, it guided for 1Q revenue in the range of $1.89 billion to $1.93 billion, representing growth of approximately 18%. Diluted earnings per share are expected to be in the range of $1.93 to $2.00 for the quarter.
It attributed the performance to its innovative products, powerful guest experiences, and strategic market expansion, flagging another year of strong momentum in 2023.
