Century Lithium Corp is welcoming a familiar face to chair its board of directors.
The lithium developer said that Bryan Disher, non-executive director and chair of the audit committee, will become chair of upon the departure of Cassandra Joseph.
Joseph is stepping down as non-executive chair and director to focus her attention on her new role as General Counsel of Ivanhoe Electric, according to a statement from Century Lithium.
CEO Bill Willoughby wished the outgoing chair well in her new endeavour.
"Cassandra played a pivotal role in the transformation of our company over the past two years", said President and CEO, Bill Willoughby. "Cassandra's business acumen has helped guide our company through key development stages.
"On behalf of the Century Lithium team we welcome Bryan to his new position and look forward to continue working with him in our efforts to build significant value for our shareholders."
Joseph herself described serving as chair as an “honor” and extended thanks to the management team and fellow Board members for their commitment to the company's success.
Additionally, Century Lithium announced the appointment of Todd Fayram as senior vice president metallurgy. Fayram is an engineer with over 35 years of experience, including roles with international mining and metals companies.
Vancouver-based Century Lithium is an advanced stage lithium company, focused on developing its 100%-owned Clayton Valley lithium project in west-central Nevada.
