Actual Experience soars on government contract extension

Actual Experience PLC (AIM:ACT), the analytic firm, was up more than 6% on Thursday after the company announced a contract with the UK government had been extended.

Britain's Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) in partnership with Vodafone Group PLC (LSE:VOD) is working with Actual’s Digital Workplace Management Platform (DWMP).

“We're delighted to be playing a key part in bringing a unified strategic perspective to Defra’s digital workplace approach by tailoring our roadmap and solutions to their unique needs,” said Scarlet Jeffers, chief product officer at Actual Experience.

The DWMP is an online dashboard that provides data about employees’ experience of hybrid working, presenting them “in a timely and reliable format.”

“Enabling our customers to lead their digital transformations with business outcomes in mind rather than IT metrics has always been the holy grail for us here at Actual,” Jeffers added.

The platform is expected to help both boost worker productivity and improve staff well-being.

“CIOs can now partner more effectively within their leadership teams to drive productivity, employee experience and ESG transformation like never before,” according to a statement by Actual.

Defra had been trialling the DWMP since its launch in October before signing the contract in March.

Actual revealed that upon winning the contract it expected to see a £230,000 per year boost to its software-as-a-service revenue stream.

Shares opened on Thursday at 0.85p before rocketing to as high as 1.03p before dropping back around the 0.9p mark.
