Marker Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:MRKR) CEO Juan Vera joins Natalie Stoberman from the Proactive studios to discuss its latest transaction with CellReady to add a layer of cell and gene therapy manufacturing to its T cell based immunotherapies.
Vera says the recent transaction with CellReady creates the opportunity to outsource manufacturing and technical operations, allowing Marker Therapeutics to focus on clinical developmental programs. Vera adds the transaction also provides the company with $90 million in capital which extends the company's runway until the end of 2025.
Marker Therapeutics is a clinical-stage immuno-oncology company specializing in the development of next-generation T cell-based immunotherapies for the treatment of hematological malignancies and solid tumor indications. Marker’s cell therapy technology is based on the selective expansion of non-engineered, tumor-specific T cells that recognize tumor associated antigens and kill tumor cells expressing those targets.
