Genprex CEO Rodney Varner joins Natalie Stoberman from the Proactive newsroom to share how the company has been expanding its gene portfolio to be able to treat patients with cancer and diabetes.
Varner says the company is currently conducting clinical trials for non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. He adds the company has a growing gene therapy portfolio for diabetes, which has shown efficacy in reducing the need for insulin in non-human primates. In the coming quarters, Varner explains that Genprex expects to announce the completion of phase one of their clinical trial and the opening of phase three for small cell lung cancer.
