Creo Medical Group PLC (AIM:CREO) has described as a landmark moment the successful completion of a first human trial of its pioneering MicroBlate Flex device for soft tissue lung lesion microwave ablation.
This medical milestone was reached at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London with the procedure performed by Professor Pallav Shah.
MicroBlate Flex employs the highest frequency microwave energy in tumour ablation, a method of thermally removing the growth.
The promising device forms a critical part of a multi-site clinical study, with patient progress continually assessed in follow-up appointments post-procedure.
