Norman Broadbent soars as income jumps

Norman Broadbent PLC (AIM:NBB) shares sat 23% higher on Monday morning after the executive recruiter and management firm reported boosted revenues for the first quarter.

Revenues rose 67% to £2.9mln during the first three months of the year, while net fee income was up 66% to £2.4mln.

“Profitability continues to grow,” the AIM-listed company said, adding that half of a convertible loan note provided last year for working capital has now been repaid.

“Investments made […] over the past 18 months have, as planned, provided the foundations necessary to accelerate growth over the coming years,” chief executive Kevin Davidson said.

Shares were trading 23% higher on Monday morning at 6.45p.
