Cordiant Digital's portfolio company signs broadcast contracts

Cordiant Digital Infrastructure Ltd (LSE:CORD) said its portfolio company, České Radiokomunikace (CRA), has signed customer agreements to broadcast three new channels.

The investor in digital infrastructure said the signings of these revenue-generating agreements were made possible by the Czech Republic company’s investment in DVB-T2, the latest in broadcast technology.

According to a statement, the first channel, A11 TV, will be launched in the second quarter of this year and offers international and domestic programming. The contract will span three years.

Part of the A11 media group, A11 TV is the first channel in the country to make use of artificial intelligence to create content.

CRA, a digital infrastructure and broadcast network, also signed a minimum three-year contract for A11 Sport, which offers a wide variety of sports, health and fitness content, with transmissions expected to start before the end of the second quarter.

The third agreement is a three-year contract with Swedish group Topmerch, a teleshopping channel, expected to air on TV by the end of the third quarter.

“These contracts demonstrate the appeal of the digital terrestrial broadcast platform to regional and international broadcasters as the most sustainable and efficient way to transmit content to viewers,” a statement said.

The latest contracts build on a previously announced five-year agreement with AMC Networks (NASDAQ:AMCX), the US TV broadcaster.
