Pantheon International eyes new private equity investments activity in coming months

Pantheon International PLC (LSE:PIN) said it made no new investment commitments during the past month but its pipeline “points to an active period for new investments in the coming months”.

Undrawn commitments to investments for the private equity specialist investment trust stood at £863mln at the end of April.

Net asset value (NAV) per share fell by 0.8% to 452.9p over the month, while its shares stand at 270p, a discount of 40%.

Its total private equity assets stand at £2.38bn, net available cash balances at £47mln, and the company has a five-year £500mln revolving credit facility agreement that remained undrawn at April month-end.

Pantheon invested £1.2mln in share buybacks during the month at a price of 232.5p per share, which represented a 49.8% discount to the prevailing NAV. This takes the total buybacks for the past 11 months to £19.6mln.
