Cornish Metals to start dewatering South Crofty in summer

Cornish Metals Inc (AIM:CUSN, TSX-V:CUSN, OTC:SBWFF) said the water treatment plant at its South Crofty tin project in Cornwall is nearing completion, with mine dewatering to start later this summer once the pump is installed.

Based on historic pumping records, mine dewatering is estimated to take 18 months to complete, the miner added.

Richard Williams, chief executive, commented: "The team in Cornwall has made great progress over the last five months, despite adverse weather conditions.”

Further news on the metallurgical drill and test work programme and ongoing feasibility study will also be issued shortly, he added.

South Crofty has the fourth-highest grade tin mineral resource globally, with multiple shafts that can be used for future operations.
