Equity Metals reports high-grade silver intercepts from Silver Queen project

Equity Metals Corporation (TSX-V:EQTY, OTCQB:EQMEF) said it intersected high-grade silver during the first phase of its Spring 2023 core drilling program at its Silver Queen silver-gold project in British Columbia.

The samples are from veins within the top 300 metres of the first drill hole, the company noted.

Assay results are pending from the lower part of the hole along with assays from eight additional drill holes completed as part of the first phase of Equity Metals’ 2023 exploration program.

Drill highlights include a shallow 1.2-metre interval grading 1 gram per ton (g/t) gold, 42g/t silver, 1.3% lead and 7% zinc (5.6g/t gold equivalent or 460g/t silver equivalent) within a 2.6-metre interval averaging 0.6g/t gold, 30g/t silver, 1.1% lead and 4.3% zinc (3.6g/t gold equivalent or 291g/t silver equivalent) from drill hole SQ22-079.

The company also reported a deeper 0.3-metre interval grading 0.1g/t gold, 1,462g/t silver, 2.8% lead and 0.7% zinc (19.3g/t gold equivalent or 1,581g/t silver equivalent) within a 2.1-metre interval averaging 0.1g/t gold, 308g/t silver, 1.3% lead and 2.2% zinc (5.5g/t gold equivalent or 446g/t silver equivalent) from drill hole SQ22-079.

The company said drilling has confirmed the vertical projection of two previously identified silver-enriched polymetallic veins at the Camp Target and identified an unrecognized shallow vein roughly 100 metres north of the targeted vein set.

The shallow vein was identified within 30 metres of surface and is a follow-up target for drill testing, Equity Metals said.

“This new drilling confirms the continued extension of high-grade silver mineralization and the identification a new vein in the Camp Target,” commented Equity Metals vice president exploration Rob Macdonald in a statement.

“In addition, we have encountered encouraging visuals from offset drilling along the Sveinson target. Multiple veins remain to be tested on the property and that process will start again with the next phase of drilling scheduled to begin in early summer."

Equity Metals noted that drilling will now pause for several weeks while surface work continues at Silver Queen, with up to 1,400 soil samples planned to assist with the delineation of new drill targets throughout the property. Drilling is set to resume in mid-June targeting the George and Cole Lake vein targets.

Equity Metals is focused on creating shareholder value through fast-tracking exploration of the company’s flagship 100%-owned Silver Queen gold-silver property in British Columbia, Canada.
