Platinex Inc. (CSE:PTX) announced geochemical sampling results and the launch of an exploration program on its Shining Tree gold property in Ontario.
The company holds a 75% interest in the property through the South Timmins Mining joint venture with Fancamp Exploration Ltd (TSX-V:FNC, OTC:FNCJF).
The JV’s current goal is to identify new gold targets in highly prospective and underexplored areas of the 225 square kilometer land package, including along the Ridout-Tyrrell Deformation Zone (RTDZ), while continuing more focused exploration efforts in the central area of the project to support additional drilling at the Herrick deposit.
In the fall of 2022, Platinex completed reconnaissance geochemical and prospecting programs over three such areas. Results identified several areas that warrant further prospecting, infill geochemical sampling and geophysical surveys to define potential drill targets, the company said.
Field crews have mobilized to begin follow-up work on new gold targets which have been identified through generative work during 2022.
Platinex is utilizing data compiled by ALS Goldspot (TSX-V:SPOT) Discoveries, a geoscience AI and data laboratory in order to finalize exploration and drilling programs for 2023.
