Erdene Resource Development CEO Peter Akerley joins Natalie Stoberman from the Proactive newsroom to share the company's progress throughout its Mongolian gold exploration projects, highlighted by its recent strategic alliance with Mongolian Mining Corporation MMC to support the development of the Khundii Minerals District.
Akerley says this partnership will contribute roughly $40 million to the project, along with senior debt financing from Export Development Canada. Erdene says he envisions further expansion in Mongolia, with multiple gold and molybdenum-copper deposits yet to be developed.
