Lavras Gold Corp (TSX-V:LGC) has highlighted an array of new gold discoveries at its LDS project in Brazil in its first quarter, making its seventh discovery since beginning exploration, as it reported results for the three months that ended on March 31, 2023.
Michael Durose, Lavras Gold CEO, said the company was excited about the latest assay results and would continue to drill and learn more about the complex system.
The company's Matilde Extension gold discovery and Vila Marieta gold discovery, believed to be the southwest surface extension of the Cerrito Gold Deposit, showed significant surface mineralization, long intervals, and high-grade gold, silver, and copper.
The Galvao gold discovery, located in the west side of the intrusive complex, was the deepest discovery made and could potentially be the southern extension of Zeca Souza.
The company has now identified seven mineral deposits/exploration discoveries at LDS, including Butiá, Caneleira, Cerrito/Vila Marieta, Galvao, Matilde, Matilde Extension, and Zeca Souza, which remain open at depth and along strike.
The Gold Trail was also launched to highlight the historical importance of gold mining to the development of the town of Lavras do Sul and surrounding areas.
In February, Lavras Gold was listed on the OTCQB, making it easier for US-based investors to trade the company's shares.
