Arecor Therapeutics subsidiary rolls out diabetes injector pen in Denmark and Norway

Tetris Pharma Ltd, an offshoot of UK-based biopharmaceutical firm Arecor Therapeutics PLC (AIM:AREC), has rolled out Ogluo, a ready-to-use glucagon autoinjector pen, in Denmark and Norway.

This pre-filled product is designed to treat severe hypoglycaemia in diabetic patients aged two and over. Hypoglycaemia, a serious diabetes complication, is marked by dangerously low blood sugar levels, potentially leading to cognitive impairment, seizures and even death.

Ogluo's pricing information is now available in both countries, providing access to this essential rescue medication. The drug is also sold in Austria, Germany and the UK, as Tetris Pharma continues its European expansion.

Dr Shafiq Choudhary, Tetris' European managing director, said: "With over half a million people estimated to be living with diabetes in Denmark and Norway alone, the launch of Ogluo gives patients living with diabetes an alternative ready-to-use, ambient stored glucagon that can be kept by the patients' side, giving their families and those around them the confidence to manage severe hypoglycaemic events."
