Northern Superior Resources Inc. (TSX-V:SUP, OTCQX:NSUPF) has announced the remaining assay results from the Red Fox Zone at its Philibert gold property in Quebec, which included 2.13 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 31.4 metres (m), from 25.0m to 56.4m, as well as 4.84 g/t gold over 3.9m.
The gold exploration company said results from 12 drill holes are pending from other zones.
“The results communicated today continue to demonstrate the exceptional grade and width of the Red Fox Zone,” Northern Superior Resources CEO Simon Marcotte said in a statement.
“With the campaign uncovering this new high-grade area, we see a clear opportunity to extend near surface mineralization along strike and down plunge towards the east-southeast,” he added.
Marcotte also noted that the drill holes investigating the western extent of the Red Fox Zone have revealed that it remains open in that direction, saying it provides a significant opportunity for the company to expand the mineralized corridor in the future.
The Northern Superior Resources CEO added that the drill results continue to demonstrate the significant potential of Philibert as the company continues to progress towards a maiden NI-43-101 resource calculation.
Northern Superior Resources is a gold exploration company focused on the Chapais-Chibougamau camp in Québec. The company has consolidated the largest land package in the region, with total land holdings of more than 62,000 hectares.
Its main properties include Philibert, Lac Surprise, Chevrier and Croteau Est.
