Graeme Purdy, the CEO of Ilika PLC (AIM:IKA, OTCQX:ILIKF), discussed the company's first customer shipments of the stacked Stereax M300: a solid-state miniature battery without liquid electrolyte.
The battery's unique characteristics make it ideal for use in miniature medical devices and within the Internet of Things (IoT) framework.
It can be used in applications such as condition monitoring, sensing, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing, and healthcare wearables. Ilika has planned deliveries to several customers, including Cube Works and Lyra Health.
The company is also focusing on establishing a US supply chain to cater to its American customers.
