Delta 9 Cannabis Inc (TSX:DN) said it has won a purchase order for 12 of its modular Grow Pods for a British Columbia-based cultivation facility.
The order was placed by cannabis grower 1356089 BC Ltd, which is developing a state-of-the-art 4,800-square foot micro cultivation facility in Merit, BC, where the 12 turnkey Grow Pods will be housed.
Delta 9 and 1356089 BC have also entered into a strategic cooperation agreement, under which Delta 9 will supply a range of services to 1356089 BC’s cannabis production plant, including providing support to secure a Health Canada cultivation and processing license.
1356089 BC initially plans to grow two strains of 25%+ tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) before it expands its product offering. Its future plan is to expand its facilities to 18,000 sq ft to house an additional 48 Grow Pods.
Delta 9 said the purchase order and strategic cooperation deal are expected to have a value of around $1.2 million.
Delta 9’s Grow Pods are made from retrofitted 40-foot shipping containers. Since 2018, the company has installed over 250 Grow Pods in third-party facilities across Canada and the US.
