Genflow Biosciences makes internal changes to align with US aspirations

Genflow Biosciences PLC (LSE:GENF), a pioneering longevity firm, has announced a restructuring of its main board of directors and scientific advisory board (SAB) to align with its current objectives and priorities in the US, including the planned listing on the OTC market.

US-based non-executive director Tamara Joseph has been promoted to the role of chairperson of the board, recognising her extensive experience in financing and familiarity with the US public markets.

Joseph has supported Nasdaq financings exceeding US$800mln and advised the boards of five US publicly traded biotechs.

Additionally, Vera Gorbunova, a professor of biology at the University of Rochester, New York, and co-director of the Rochester Ageing Research Center, has been promoted to the chairperson of the SAB.

Gorbunova's work focuses on the mechanisms of longevity and genome stability. Her contributions to the field of longevity research will be pivotal in guiding the company's scientific research, investors were told.

The company also announced the addition of Professor Sven Francque to the SAB.

As an expert in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, his extensive knowledge in this field will assist Genflow in identifying new targets and potential therapies for the disease, the company said.

Specifically, Francque's expertise in clinical research and clinical trial design will be invaluable in the development of Genflow's clinical trial programmes.

Genflow director Yassine Bendiabdallah said: "We remain dedicated to adapting and evolving in the ever-changing longevity space.

"Our collective and individual agility gives us a significant advantage over larger competitors and allows us to remain at the forefront of this dynamic industry."
