Sidus Space said it has selected ATLAS Space Operations to expand its ground station services, significantly increasing the global network of ground stations for its LizzieSat satellite constellation.
ATLAS provides end-to-end monitoring of satellite assets through its global antenna network and Freedom Software as part of its Ground Software-as-a-Service offering.
According to Sidus, the increased daily coverage is expected to reduce latency between image collection and downlink, enabling critical data transfer faster than ever before.
The company added that the expansion of its global ground site network further solidified Sidus as a leader in Space and Defence-as-a-Service solutions.
"This partnership with ATLAS represents yet another step forward for Sidus in providing additional cutting-edge satellite support to customers around the world, increasing our coverage and data speed while limiting our capital commitment," said Sidus CEO Carol Craig in a statement.
"We are excited to work together with their team of experts to nearly double our daily coverage capabilities."
