Zenova Group shares jump on paint trial update

Zenova Group PLC (AIM:ZED)'s shares surged 9% following the successful completion of a collaboration project with Liverpool John Moores University.

The firm demonstrated significant energy efficiency through its insulation paint, Zenova IP.

Tests revealed that just a one-millimetre-thick layer of Zenova IP improved energy performance certificate ratings from E to D. Notably, it was found to slash heat energy consumption by over 25%, reducing fuel bills and cutting building carbon dioxide emissions by 19%.

Tony Crawley, Zenova's CEO, said the project spotlighted the "true benefits" of Zenova IP. "This validates the unique effectiveness of our insulating paint within a growing sector," he added.

The shares traded 9.3% higher at 5.74 pence mid-afternoon.
