Ximen Mining unveils 2023 exploration plans for British Columbia projects

Ximen Mining Corp has announced its 2023 exploration program plans for its precious and critical metals projects in southeastern British Columbia, Canada.

The company’s field programs at its six mineral project areas are directed from its command base in Greenwood BC, the company said in a statement.

At Wild Horse, where a geophysical survey, reconnaissance rock sampling, and a soil geochemical survey were conducted last year, the company plans to drill an area where gold was previously panned from overburden samples.

At Quartz Mountain, the company plans to conduct rock and soil geochemical surveys at the Running Wolf and Rome and Valley occurrences.

At Nelson, which includes the Kenville gold mine, Ximen’s 2023 exploration program will include metallurgical testing of tailings samples from the Wilcox tailings deposit near Ymir and field evaluations of other occurrences.

Detailed work will focus on the Star property, with drilling planned to test for bulk-minable copper-gold mineralization. The company also plans to drill the California and Venus-Juno historic gold mines.

In the Greenwood area, Ximen plans to target the Bud-Elk property for bulk-minable copper-gold skarn and porphyry deposits and the Amelia property for extensions to the historic mine.

At Brett, following airborne magnetic and LIDAR surveys flown in 2022, Ximen intends to conduct surface drilling further test for bulk-minable and bonanza-grade epithermal-style gold mineralization. The company is also working toward permitting for underground development.

Finally, at Treasure Mountain, where an airborne LIDAR survey was flown over the entire property in 2022 to aid in locating historic workings and geological structures related to mineralization, the company intends to carry out drilling and/or rock geochemistry for the Railroad and Jim Kelly and Rio Grande mineral occurrences.

Ximen Mining owns a 100% interest in three of its precious metal projects located in southern British Columbia. Ximen's two gold projects are the Amelia Gold Mine and the Brett epithermal gold project. Ximen also owns the Treasure Mountain silver project adjacent to the past-producing Huldra Silver Mine and it has acquired control of the Kenville Gold mine near Nelson British Columbia.
