Cordoba Minerals reveals more high-grade copper equivalent results from Alacran project in Colombia

Cordoba Minerals Corp (TSX-V:CDB, OTCQB:CDBMF) has announced the latest assay results received from the ongoing in-fill drilling program at its Alacran copper-gold-silver project in Colombia, which included 140.9 metres (m) of 0.42% copper, 0.5 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 2.71 g/t silver, or 0.7% copper equivalent, from 15.6m to 156.5m depth.

The mineral exploration company said additional drill holes further confirm the overall life of mine resource grades at the Alacran Deposit.

“As we move towards the end of the in-fill drilling program, I am pleased that the assay results continue to demonstrate the quality of the Alacran mineral resource model,” Cordoba Minerals CEO Sarah Armstrong-Montoya said in a statement.

“We continue to see high-grade mineralization in the north and central parts of the Alacran Deposit, which could be accessible during the early mining years,” she added.

Cordoba noted the ongoing drilling program will focus on the peripheral in-fill areas in the south of the Alacran Deposit where lower grades are expected as predicted by the Pre-Feasibility block model.

The company added that the final hydrogeological, geotechnical, and infrastructure sterilization holes are expected to be completed within the next few weeks.

Cordoba Minerals is focused on copper and gold projects. Its wholly-owned San Matias project includes the Alacran deposit and satellite deposits at Montiel East, Montiel West and Costa Azul and sits in the Department of Cordoba, Colombia.

Cordoba also holds a 51% interest in the Perseverance copper project in Arizona, which it is exploring through a joint venture and earn-in agreement.
