Plurilock Security Inc announced that its wholly-owned unit Plurilock Security Solutions Inc has received advisory services and up to $75,000 in funding from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) to support Plurilock's research and development of the application of behavioural biometric techniques against the behaviour of computer systems and processes.
The identity-centric cybersecurity solutions provider said it intends to utilize the funds to develop algorithms to detect malware by its actions and behaviour, which will be added to the continuous authentication feature of the company's flagship cybersecurity platform, 'Plurilock'.
“We are pleased to receive financial assistance from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) for the third time in the last 5 years,” Plurilock Security CEO Ian Paterson said in a statement.
“At Plurilock, we emphasize innovation towards scaling up our zero-trust technology and we intend to continue expanding our intellectual property portfolio in order to advance our AI-driven cybersecurity solutions,” Paterson added.
