Destiny Pharma's C.diffcile treatment on path to commercial success

Destiny Pharma PLC (AIM:DEST, OTC:DTTYF)’s partnership with Sebela Pharmaceuticals for the development of NTCD-M3, Destiny’s clostridium difficile infection treatment, has increased the probability of the treatment achieving commercial success, house broker Shore Capital Markets stated on Tuesday.

Furthermore, Shore Cap believes that bringing in a suitable partner on acceptable financial and commercial terms for the XF-73 post-op infection nasal spray treatment “would further de-risk the Destiny Pharma investment case”.

“We look forward to Destiny securing a development and commercial partner with the requisite expertise to progress and capitalise on the large prevention of post-surgical infection market, particularly in the key US market,” said analysts.

However, Shore Cap said that “with all of the activities associated with M3 and XF-73, we fear that scant attention has been paid to the SPOR-COV collaboration, particularly as the interest from governments and the general population has waned with respect to the travails of the Covid-19 pandemic”.

“With all of these supportive data now in place and an ongoing need to be better prepared for future respiratory infections/ pandemics, we look forward to the attraction of a suitable partner(s) to help progress these ambitions in the key US and European markets,” said analysts.

Shares were changing hands at 3.5p as of 2.30p, March 2, having added over 5%.
