Vauxhall owner Stellantis has taken legal action against tyre maker Continental and electronics group Bosch over alleged price fixing.
The group is the latest car maker to start legal proceedings after Mercedes took the pair to court last year accusing German groups Continental, Bosch and others of running a cartel in the supply of brakes and brake parts.
Complaints against parts suppliers date back to 2014 when EU investigators raided the HQs of companies suspected of involvement.
Continental and Bosch were later fined €76mln by the European Commission as part of a wider package of fines totalling €546m.
Stellantis and Continental have yet to comment on the size of the lawsuit, though Bosch said in a statement: “We are aware of carmakers that have filed antitrust lawsuits in a UK court, against various makers of car components.
“We can only confirm that Bosch has been informed by a carmaker about its unannounced decision to file a complaint at short notice to preserve potential claims.
"Currently we have no official documents from the court.”
