Helen of Troy (NASDAQ:HELE) shares jumped more than 20% on Thursday after the consumer products provider topped expectations with its fourth quarter fiscal 2023 results.
The company, whose brands include OXO, Hydro Flask, Osprey, Vicks, Braun, Honeywell, PUR, Drybar and Revlon (NYSE:REV), achieved adjusted earnings per share of $2.01 for the three months ended February 28, 2023.
This was a 19.9% decrease from the year-ago quarter but ahead of the consensus analyst expectation of $1.89 per share per Zacks Equity Research.
Revenue also came in higher-than-expected at $484.6 million, about 6% above the consensus expectation per Zacks of $456.2 million.
This was, however, a 16.7% decrease from the comparable quarter in fiscal 2022.
Helen of Troy (NASDAQ:HELE) shares had gained 21.4% to US$99.32 by late morning on Thursday.
