Image Scan Holdings PLC (AIM:IGE) swung into profit at the half-year, boosted by a surge in revenue sending shares sharply higher.
The company reported revenue in the six months to 31 March 2023 soared 85% to £1.46mln, up from £790,000 a year prior, while pre-tax profit of £16,000 compared to a loss of £345,000.
Gross profit margin slipped to 48% from 52% a year before, reflecting the product mix and pressures of the global economic conditions.
Vince Deery, chief executive officer, commented: "We are pleased with the financial results for the first half of the year and our operational highlights demonstrate our continued commitment to delivering high-quality products and services to our customers.
“With careful cost management and continued improved market activity and product innovation we hope to maintain the momentum to deliver a full year in line with market expectation.”
Shares jumped nearly 13% to 2.20p.
