Greencoat UK Wind PLC has appointed Jim Smith, former managing director of SSE Renewables, as a non-executive director effective 1 May.
Smith brings 34 years of experience in the electricity industry and has overseen over 5GW of projects through financial close.
Shonaid Jemmett-Page, chairman of Greencoat UK Wind, believes that Smith's extensive experience, particularly in offshore wind asset management, will greatly contribute to the company's growth.
