Sidus Space Inc (NASDAQ:SIDU) founder and CEO Carol Craig was named a winner of Profiles in Diversity Journal’s prestigious annual Women Worth Watching in STEM Award for 2023.
The award recognizes the achievements of women leaders who are inspiring role models. Craig was selected as one of 35 awardees by a panel of judges based on her research, leadership, and commitment to mentoring in the four closely connected areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
In addition to receiving a crystal award memento, the winners will be profiled in the printed STEM edition of Profiles in Diversity Journal. Craig’s profile will appear in the magazine’s upcoming second quarter issue.
Craig has been a leader in the space technology industry for over 20 years. She is a well-known entrepreneur on the Space Coast, having first founded the hugely successful Craig Technologies in 1999 and Sidus Space as a spinoff in 2012.
After years of creating innovative space technologies through Craig Technologies, the former US Navy flight officer and first female aviator in her squadron made history as a pioneer once again when Craig took Sidus Space public by listing on the Nasdaq. She enjoys the distinction of being the first female founder of a space-based company to list on the tech-dominated exchange.
