Canada Silver Cobalt Works expands St-Denis lithium-cesium project

Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc (TSX-V:CCW, OTCQB:CCWOF) said it has expanded its St-Denis lithium-cesium project by an additional 800 hectares bringing the project’s total size to 26,373 hectares.

The company said it has staked an additional 799.8 hectares in 38 new claims between Sangster and Potter townships in the Cochrane District of Ontario, making the St-Denis project one of the largest land holdings in the emerging Case Lake lithium-cesium-tantalum pegmatite district.

The newly staked Sangster block hosts several pegmatites mapped by Noranda Exploration in 1995, including a 130-metre-wide by 1-kilometre-long zone interpreted by Noranda Exploration as pegmatite, Canada Silver Cobalt said.

The company noted that the pegmatites mapped by Noranda Exploration were “not well described,” so their significance may have been overlooked as that company’s focus at that time was on base metals.

Canada Silver Cobalt said it intends to ground truth, map, and sample the previously identified pegmatite outcrops to evaluate the area for its lithium-cesium mineralization potential.

“The company is excited for the snow to melt so that our geologists can visit the property to see the characteristics of the outcrops and test that expanse for potential lithium-cesium mineralization,” the company said in a statement.

Canada Silver Cobalt is a dual-focus precious metals and battery metals junior mining company with a valuable portfolio of critical energy metals projects based in safe and ecologically responsible jurisdictions.
