United Lithium Corp (CSE:ULTH) said it is preparing to commence a diamond drill program at its 100%-owned hard rock lithium project Bergby in Sweden.
The 4,000 metre (m) drill program will consist of approximately 50 drill holes and its design incorporates the results from the company’s previous exploration activities, United Lithium said.
The goals of the program are to further define known lithium-bearing pegmatites that are open along strike and/or at depth and to test lithium-bearing outcrops which could potentially expand the known mineralization.
Further, United Lithium intends to carry out sampling and mapping to identify additional potential outcrops.
Drill crews have been mobilized to the project for the drill program which the company expects will wrap up by the end of July 2023.
11,000 m of drilling in 130 holes have been completed at Bergby to date, with assay results currently pending for about 60 drill holes.
“Initial results from the 9,000 m drill program completed in 2022 demonstrated very positive results including 47.75 m of 1.34% Li2O,” commented United Lithium CEO Scott Eldridge in a statement.
“We await the remainder of the assay results from this program and anticipate these will be announced in the coming weeks.”
