Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, has threatened to take legal action against Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), accusing the tech giant of utilising the social media site's data without authorisation.
Musk's tweet came in response to Microsoft's decision to remove Twitter from its corporate advertising platform, though he did not provide further details or evidence. Microsoft declined to comment on the matter.
As a result of the change, advertisers will no longer be able to access their Twitter accounts through Microsoft's social management tool.
Despite this, other social media channels like Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn will remain available.
In February, Twitter began charging for its data collected from "hundreds of millions" of users, which allows users to manage and track their social media presence.
