Predictmedix Inc. (CSE:PMED, OTCQB:PMEDF) has said new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered screening technology will make its Safe Entry stations able to read blood pressure, adding to its existing ability to screen individuals’ temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation.
"Monitoring blood pressure is an essential aspect of maintaining good health. Adding this feature to Safe Entry will be a significant development in the healthcare industry," Dr Rahul Kushwah, chief operations officer at Predictmedix, said in a statement.
"By incorporating blood pressure parameters into our screening process, we can help make healthcare screening more accessible and efficient for patients."
Predictmedix has also added heart rate variability (HRV) to the vital parameters picked up by the screening, which could help detect the early onset of several diseases.
It said studies are taking place in India to validate HRV screening capabilities, and it is also planning blood oxygen saturation screening trials.
"We are committed to continuously expanding our AI screening solutions to bring added value and greater efficiencies to healthcare risk management," added Kushwah.
