Faron Pharma to host virtual event on progress in novel immunotherapies development

Faron Pharmaceuticals Limited (AIM:FARN, OTC:FPHAF) has announced plans to host a virtual event via webcast on Tuesday, 25 April, to discuss its progress in developing novel immunotherapies for the treatment of cancers.

The event will feature Dr Naval Daver, associate professor of Leukemia at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Dr Mika Kontro, associate professor at the University of Helsinki, who will provide an update on the most recent Phase I/II BEXMAB data in AML and MDS patients.

Dr Marie-Louise Fjällskog, Faron's chief medical officer, will also discuss next steps planned for the BEXMAB program during the event, which will be moderated by Dr Markku Jalkanen, Faron's CEO.

Faron recently reported updated positive data from its ongoing Phase I/II BEXMAB study, which is investigating bexmarilimab, the company's wholly-owned immunotherapy asset, in combination with standard of care in relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes.

The latest update included two objective responses and two stable disease patients observed, with one having more than 50% reduction of blast cells, in the second doublet cohort.

"I am delighted to be hosting this KOL Day with Dr Daver and Dr Kontro," commented Dr Jalkanen. "They will provide important insights into the immunotherapy approaches currently available to patients with hematological malignancies and the work Faron is doing to potentially bring the promise of immunotherapy to a broader patient group."

Interested parties can register for the webcast at https://faron.videosync.fi/kol-call-04-2023/register.
