Mink Ventures: Strategic landholding next door to Glencore's nickel project

Introduction: We asked Proactive's mining analyst, Ryan Long, to take a look at Mink Ventures Corporation (TSX-V:MINK), which is exploring the potential of its strategic landholding in the Abitibi Belt of Ontario, Canada. The company's primary asset, the Montcalm Nickel Project (map below), offers several promising aspects for investors. Here's what Ryan had to say:

Strategic location: Mink's Montcalm Nickel Project covers around 33% of the Montcalm Gabbro Complex. The area is strategically located next door to Glencore's Montcalm Mine, which produced 3.93mlb tonnes of ore containing 1.25 % nickel and additional copper and cobalt between 2005 and 2009. The mine’s infrastructure including a plant that is on care and maintenance provides significant advantages for the development of Mink's exploration project.

Untested EM Targets: Mink's Montcalm Nickel Project has numerous historic electromagnetic targets that remain unexplained and untested by previous explorers, presenting significant opportunities for exploration.

Advanced Geophysical Technology: Its exploration project benefits from advances in surface and borehole IP geophysical technology, which allow for the detection of targets previously undetected using older airborne geophysical methods.

Promising Exploration Results: Initial drilling on two targets at the Hook Zone has been completed, and the assay results are pending. The positive results would validate Mink's exploration hypothesis and provide confidence for future exploration. Mink is also currently filing permits to drill test another large anomaly, covering 500 meters, in the South Target Zone.
