Arizona Silver to test new anomaly on its Philadelphia gold-silver project

Arizona Silver Exploration Inc is getting set to test the western edge of a new geophysical anomaly on its flagship Philadelphia gold-silver project.

The firm said it has secured a drill to test the recently identified Red Hill CSAMT geophysical anomaly at the Arizona-based project.

If the anomaly is proven to be part of the Philadelphia gold system, it could “considerably” change the size and grade parameters of the project, Arizona Silver’s vice president, exploration Greg Hahn told shareholders.

The firm conducted a survey in January, which revealed the anomaly beneath Red Hill. According to Arizona Silver, the anomaly is thought to be a clay cap to gold-silver mineralization which underlies the cap.

Proposed drill hole locations with respect to the CSAMT anomaly

A feeder zone at the western end of the anomaly could host high-grade mineralization, the company told shareholders.

Arizona is planning to drill two core holes totaling between 700 and 750 metres to test the potential feeder zone as well as the down-dip projection of a high-grade hanging wall vein.

“We are excited to be able to contract a core rig at this time of year to test this significant target so soon after its discovery,” Hahn said in a statement.

Further testing of anomaly below Red Hill will occur when a drill rig and crew capable of drilling shallow angle holes becomes available, Arizona Silver said.
