Great Atlantic Resources said the analysis of soil samples from a new target area at its East Golden Promise property in Newfoundland has returned anomalous gold values up to 137 parts per billion (ppb).
The company said that two-thirds of the soil samples collected during its 2022 exploration program, 10 out of 15, returned anomalous gold values of 10 ppb or higher.
This included five samples returning values of 20 ppb gold or higher.
Great Atlantic said with anomalous gold in soil and rock samples now confirmed, the area where the samples were collected represents a new target area at the East Golden Promise property.
The company is planning additional fieldwork at the property in 2023, focused on the east region in the area of the anomalous rock and soil samples.
Soil and rock geochemical sampling are planned and, pending the results, trenching is expected to follow, the company said in a statement.
Great Atlantic is a Canadian exploration company focused on the discovery and development of mineral assets in the resource-rich and sovereign risk-free realm of Atlantic Canada.
