11:55am: Theratechnologies (TSX:TH), VIQ Solutions shares make big gains

Theratechnologies (TSX:TH) shares continued to advance Friday, up 12% to $1.29 following a 10% gain on Thursday, after the biopharmaceutical company announced that it expects its fiscal year 2023 revenue to be in the range of $90 million and $95 million, representing commercial portfolio growth of between 13% and 19% over the past year.

As well, shares of VIQ Solutions Inc (TSX:VQS) shares jumped 14% to $0.52 as the provider of AI-driven, digital voice and video capture technology and transcription services revealed the release of CapturePro Mobile, which the company says simplifies content acquisition and accelerates document creation.

VIQ noted that CapturePro Mobile turns a smartphone or tablet into a secure audio and video recording device that simplifies the process of receiving high-quality, speech-to-text documents within minutes.

Reitmans (TSX:RET) (Canada) Limited, meanwhile, reported that its fiscal 2023 net earnings from continuing operations fell to $77.7 million from $143.2 million last year, which the company attributed primarily to factors such as an increase in overall operating costs as well as lower restructuring recoveries. Reitmans (TSX:RET) (Canada) stock dropped 25% to $3.20 following the announcement.

And, Therma Bright Inc (TSX-V:THRM, OTC:TBRIF) shares rose 17% to $0.07 on Friday after the developer and investor in a range of leading-edge, proprietary diagnostic and medical device technologies announced that it has successfully secured US Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement through various payers, with the reimbursement per pair of Venowave devices, under these temporary codes, ranging from between $725-$1,050 per patient.
