VIQ Solutions Inc (TSX-V:VQS) shares jumped 14% to $0.52 on Friday after the provider of AI-driven, digital voice and video capture technology and transcription services announced the release of CapturePro Mobile, which the company says simplifies content acquisition and accelerates document creation.
VIQ noted that CapturePro Mobile turns a smartphone or tablet into a secure audio and video recording device that simplifies the process of receiving high-quality, speech-to-text documents within minutes.
“We continue to invest in integrated solutions, AI-powered technology, and our experienced workforce to deliver high quality documentation that support the needs of the customer to facilitate the next generation of documentation,” VIQ Solutions chief operating officer Susan Sumner said in a statement.
The company added that the new mobile app, which supports dictation and multi-speaker recordings, provides a seamless and intuitive experience for professions such as those in law enforcement and insurance, as well as lawyers.
VIQ also said its AI-based speech-to-text technology increases efficiency, decreases turnaround time, and yields higher transcription accuracy.
