Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) has partnered with trading app eTORO to bring more stock, crypto and other asset trading data to its app.
Users wishing to trade will be directed to eTORO’s site through a button on Elon Musk’s social media, with the deal set to expand the amount of market data on Twitter.
Some data, such as Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)’s share price, is already available on twitter through its ‘cashtag’ feature, though graphs and real time prices are fairly limited.

These features will be ramped up under the deal, eTORO said on Thursday, connecting users with more “real-time content” and “financial analysis of companies” on Twitter.
Musk, having bought Twitter for US$44bn in October, has preached his intention to create an “everything app” in the past, suggesting the social media could play a key part in this.
However, Musk’s takeover of Twitter has not been without controversy, with just 1,500 staff left from October’s 8,000 and a flurry of advertisers leaving the site, dealing a blow to its revenues.
