Renalytix PLC (AIM:RENX) shares jumped 4.1% in early trading in London after announcing that data supportive of KidneyIntelX in minorities and veterans is to be presented at the National Kidney Foundation Spring Clinical Meeting.
The clinical data shows the importance of using KidneyIntelX bioprognosis in early-stage kidney disease and diabetes patients to blunt the effects of health inequity, the company said in a statement.
In a recent trial, the KidneyIntelX risk score identified those patients at highest risk which resulted in appropriately selecting SGLT2-inhibitors for the right patients.
In a clinical decision effectiveness study, KidneyIntelX classified more black versus non-black patients as high risk for progression of chronic kidney disease, resulting in increased prescription of SGLT2-inhibitor drug therapy.
Renalytix said this means healthcare providers can use KidneyIntelX to guide treatment plans and it can be implemented in population health initiatives toward prevention of complications and improved healthcare equity.
Shares rose 4.1% to 90.55p in London on Wednesday.
