Innovative Eyewear (NASDAQ:LUCY) stock more than doubled in Tuesday’s early deals after it announced the launch of ‘the first’ ChatGPT enabled smart-glasses.
The company, in a statement, said that it had launched Lucyd – an app on iOS and Android – which enables a voice interface for ChatGPT tied to the microphones built into the glasses.
"We are excited to be the first company to provide ChatGPT enabled smart eyewear,” said CEO Harrison Gross.
“With our new Lucyd app, which is free to our eyewear customers, we are continuing to make smart eyewear more accessible and functional than ever before."
While being linked to the company’s glasses, Innovative Eyewear (NASDAQ:LUCY) highlighted that the Lucyd app is device agnostic and can work with other ‘hearables’ including but not limited to, AirPods.
The company, meanwhile, noted that its recently announced Lucyd Lyte 2.0 eyewear is now available in 15 distinct styles and via the app will provide on-the-go access to ChatGPT.
