Sidus Space has appointed Leonardo Riera to its board of directors.
The company said in a statement that Riera brings over 35 years of experience in investment banking and fund management to Sidus.
His was previously a consultant for McKinsey & Co, head of a mergers and acquisitions unit for Citicorp Investment Bank, and Country Head for Bankers Trust in Venezuela for more than 10 years.
He has also worked with multiple federal agencies and was granted knighthood as a Knight of Malta at a ceremony held at the Vatican, according to Sidus.

"He brings a wealth of experience in financial services, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate governance that will be invaluable as we continue to grow and expand our business."

Sidus Space, located in Cape Canaveral, Florida, operates from a 35,000-square-foot manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing facility focused on commercial satellite design, manufacture, launch, and data collection.
